Carlton County Warrant Records Carlton County Warrant Records

Official questions about a Carlton County warrant belong with the court or the Sheriff's Office, not with this site. The routing below sends each kind of request to the office that actually holds the record, including the district court administration desk, the sheriff records address, and the jail bond window. Read the notice first, then find your question in the list and use the contact details that match it.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This is a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. Every one of those requests has to go to the issuing court, Court Administration, or the Sheriff's Office.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Most warrant questions in Carlton County fall into one of a few categories. Here is where each one should go.

  • Whether a warrant exists: call Carlton County Court Administration at 218-673-5064, the route the county's own FAQ publishes, or visit the courthouse counter during regular business hours. Dispatch does not give warrant information to the public.
  • A ticket in warrant status: contact Court Administration for a date and time to appear on the warrant, as the county's traffic FAQs direct.
  • A missed court date or release-condition problem: the district court that had the case holds the order, so start with Court Administration at 218-673-5065 for general court administration.
  • Resolving or clearing a warrant: talk to a licensed Minnesota attorney and to the issuing court about an appearance, a payment arrangement, or bond, and whether a motion is needed.
  • A copy of a sheriff-held record: submit the county Data Request Form to Sheriff's Office Records at sheriffrecords@carltoncountymn.gov, in person, by mail, or by email.
  • Custody or bond questions: call the Carlton County Jail at 218-384-4560 before paying, since cash and credit cards are accepted but personal checks are not.

The county's court, sheriff, and jail offices share one building at 1780 Justice Drive in Carlton, Minnesota, but they are separate counters. Court Administration is in Suite 2700 and keeps the case records. The Sheriff's Office is in Suite 1300 and serves court orders and warrants. The jail is in Suite 1200 and handles custody and bond. The published hours for Court Administration are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Sheriff's Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Call before traveling. The court's page lists customer service on the second floor while the county's warrant instruction points to the third floor, so it is worth asking which counter is handling your request that day. For a case record, the public access computer is on the second floor, and the public case search online is the faster first step.
